One of the great experiences I’ve had upon publication of Twenty Two Faces is meeting especially at book signings, the many people with multiple personalities who relate to Jenny’s experiences. Ten showed up to my first signing at Barnes & Noble, and at least one or two at other signings. The most common of their comments is how grateful they are to myself and Jenny for exposing her story. I had known some with multiple personalities before Twenty Two Faces was released. They often approach me, asking for my help. There are so few people they can talk to about their abuse and even fewer who are open to understanding their multiplicity. Without exception these sufferers of Dissociative Identity Disorder are wonderful, humble and very intelligent people who have endured a lifetime of trials because of evil perpetrators. Society denial that ritualized abuse of children exists is one of the ways it is ABLE TO EXIST.
Together we must and WILL break the silence.
